Welcome Neurokin!

“you aren’t wrong, just different

and the world needs different”

Discovering my Neurotype

I first considered ADHD after seeing content on social media. Having navigated 15 years of invisible chronic illness collecting labels, the discovery that I was Autistic and ADHD was like turning the lights on💡

I made sense🤯

Occupational Therapy and Neurodivergence

I’d been unknowingly using OT strategies on myself for years already! I discovered the way I do OT had a name 🧠Neuro-affirming Practice🌈

Not only had I realised the way I had worked most of my career had a name, but why I clicked with my Neurodivergent clients made sense. I had found my people, I was home and it just felt natural.

My lived experiences have made me who I am, and while it’s certainly had its ups and downs 🎢😅 I am unbelievably proud of where I am today.
Connection, Empathy, and being Understood are the foundations of my work- because you deserve to feel seen, heard and understood by the people who work with you.

Joy in Working!

Bringing together special interests and work is just 🪄magic✨ for Neurodivergent brains. It never ceases to amaze me at how lucky I am to get to talk about what I love, and make a difference while doing it.

Professional Interests

I work primarily with adults and have a passion for working in the neurodivergent space. This has evolved into supporting Neurodivergent Entrepreneurs and Business owners - you can find more of my work here

Online education

I love to teach, and believe without understanding, we can’t effectively implement strategies. Unfortunately, taking the time to make sure people with brain-differences understand is skipped, or not bothered with at all.

In my experience, understanding the why and how, is the difference between staying stuck and stepping into your own power and potential.

I regularly share on social media, and run an online Community for ND Entrepreneurs.

If you’re interested in working together I’d love to hear from you!

"what if there is no right way to be, only the right way for you. Your goals, dreams and ways of being, deserve to be supported."

Hi 👋 my name is Giarne, and I’m a proud late diagnosed Autistic and ADHD (AuDHDer) and Occupational Therapist.

I knew I wanted to be an Occupational Therapist since age 12 .A school assignment on possible careers found a profession that combined science, health, creativity and problem solving- it was a ✨dream come true

I graduated in 2013 and have had the privilege of working with people from all walks and stages of life. One of the best things about OT is that no matter your age, stage, illness or injury, I get to work with people to do the things that matter most to them.
